NXTGEN Clean Energy Solutions is a single point-of-contact company that represents clients in solar energy, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging station solutions. NXTGEN was founded to work with end users such as homeowners, businesses, farmers, municipalities, health care facilities, and multifamily dwellings to educate and develop clean energy projects that help save—and, in some cases, generate—money, all while improving the environment.

NXTGEN provides development assistance to identify the clean energy options that best fit each client. Our customized approach considers client needs, including energy requirements, budgets, property dynamics, and schedules, among other factors. This approach allows us to recommend solar, battery storage, electric vehicle charging stations, or a combination of all three for a maximized return on investment. We also offer an array of micro wind turbines, solar lighting, and SMART poles. NXTGEN represents clients and manages specialty design and installation contractors and technology providers to deliver zero-hassle clean energy solutions.

NXTGEN Clean Energy Solutions, founded by Russ Bates, leverages his 28 years of experience in the power generation industry, with a focus on renewable energy technologies like solar, wind, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging. After noticing that small businesses weren't fully utilizing clean energy technologies, Russ established NXTGEN to address this gap.

NXTGEN offers a comprehensive, concept-to-completion service for clean energy projects, acting as a single point of contact. The company provides consultation, project development, and Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) and investor relationships, serving small businesses, municipalities, educational institutions, and more. NXTGEN works closely with clients to determine the best clean energy solutions based on factors like energy consumption, property specifics, financials, and schedules.


After defining the project, NXTGEN issues Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to EPC firms, vets the proposals, and reviews the best options with the client. Once a contract is awarded, NXTGEN manages the project, allowing clients to focus on their core business while ensuring the clean energy project runs smoothly and causes minimal disruption.


NXTGEN offers flexible roles, from consulting and project management to acting as a client representative, adapting to each client’s unique needs while simplifying the complex clean energy process.
